SiO S2DIO was created by Marisa Montefusco, a stained glass artist located in Philadelphia, in 2020. Her love for stained glass began in college, where she learned the tricks of the trade from the infamous Judith Schaechter. The name "SiO S2DIO" was coined from the abbreviation of the chemical compound that makes up glass; silicon dioxide (SiO2). SiO S2DIO combines traditional and modern stained glass techniques to make beautiful pieces for everyone to enjoy.
